The name that appears in the Author column when you post a message is called your message board alias. To do so:
Our instructors review the Message Board at least every other day from the enrollment date so you should receive a response within that timeframe after posting your question. However, if other students have already answered your question correctly, the instructor may not provide an additional response to the duplicate question.
When someone responds to your message, a red dot will appear next to your topic on the main Message Board page. Click the topic to review the full text of your original message and the response.
You can tag posts as Helpful or Interesting on the discussion forums. When viewing a topic, the bottom of each post will ask, Was this post: and provide two red buttons. Simply click Helpful or Interesting to share what you thought of the post. Tagging posts lets you express your opinion as well as help others who may be browsing the forum for the first time.
